Bridging Guide

WELEPHANT can be bridged between different blockchain networks using the Wormhole protocol. This guide explains how to move your tokens across chains.

How Bridging Works

WELEPHANT uses Wormhole's token bridge with automatic redemption:

1. Lock - Your tokens are locked in a smart contract on the source chain
2. Attest - Wormhole guardians verify the lock transaction
3. Auto-Redeem - Tokens are automatically delivered to your wallet on the destination chain

No manual redemption required - it's all handled for you!

Bridge Instructions

Bridging is a one-click process:

1. Navigate to the Bridge page
2. Connect your wallet
3. Select source and destination networks
4. Enter the amount of WELEPHANT to bridge
5. Approve the token spend (first time only)
6. Click Bridge and confirm the transaction
7. Done! Tokens will automatically arrive in your wallet on the destination chain

The bridge handles everything including automatic redemption on the other side.

Bridge Fees

• Gas fees on source chain for approval and transfer
• Wormhole fees minimal protocol fee
• Gas fees on destination chain for redemption

Tip: Gas fees vary by network congestion. Check current rates before bridging.

Important Notes

Timing

• Bridging typically takes 15-20 minutes
• Network congestion can increase wait times
• Don't panic if it takes longer - your tokens are safe

Wallet Setup

• Ensure your wallet is configured for both networks
• Have native tokens (BNB or ETH) on destination chain for gas
• Use the same wallet address on both chains

Token Addresses

Always verify you're interacting with official WELEPHANT contracts:

• Check the official links page for current addresses
• Be cautious of scam tokens with similar names

Troubleshooting

Transaction Stuck

• Check Wormhole explorer for status
• Bridge transactions typically complete within 15-20 minutes
• Contact support if transaction doesn't complete after 30 minutes

Tokens Not Appearing

• Add WELEPHANT token to your wallet manually
• Verify you're on the correct network
• Check transaction on block explorer
• Auto-redemption may take a few extra minutes

Failed Transaction

• Ensure sufficient gas on the source chain
• Check token approval was successful
• Try increasing gas limit slightly

Security

• Only use the official bridge interface
• Verify contract addresses before approving
• Never share your seed phrase
• Be wary of "support" messages in DMs
